It is of the utmost importance that employee records in the payroll management system are kept up to date at all times. The employee is expected to inform the payroll administrator of any changes to personal particulars, eg. Change in address or name in the case of a lady that gets married. These details must be entered correctly as they print on the tax certificates at year end.
In regular practice employees frequently need to be reminded of this. Please ensure you send those reminders out timeously so that you have updated records on hand to submit tax certificates prior to the deadline issued by SARS.
